SIX Confirmed Wii EA Titles!

MORE EA GAMES!  Incedibly awesome.  Tiger Woods 2007 looks confirmed.  THANK GOD!!!

Nintendo fans fearful of lackluster Wii third party contributions can break open the champagne, as EA has confirmed major support for the upcoming Wii system. According to an official release, EA has at least six Wii games currently in development, representing the Madden, Godfather, Tiger Woods, Harry Potter, Need for Speed, and SSX franchises.

All of these titles are being custom built to take advantage of the Wii’s unique control scheme. Madden NFL, which received mixed reactions at this year’s E3, will be demonstrated later today at EA’s Studio Showcase 2006.

“Once we started to experiment with Madden on Wii, there was an explosion of innovation. Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the hardware and controller,” said John Schappert, Senior VP and General Manager, EA. “By reaching into our catalogue, we are able to bring a fresh and distinctive experience to some of EA’s most popular franchises. Creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless.”

EA will be announcing even more Wii titles in the coming months.
