55DSL will incorporate their expertise in the clothing and items in Need For Speed: Carbon.
Electronic Arts announced today that it will work in collaboration with fashion street wear brand 55DSL for its upcoming Need for Speed Carbon. The latest release in EA’s highly successful racing series will feature characters wearing clothing and items designed exclusively for the game by 55DSL.
The exclusive items will be made available to the public, but only through local EA events and pre-order campaigns around the world. There’s no word yet on exactly what types of clothing we’re talking about, but we’d imagine everything from socks to jackets will be covered.
Andrea Rosso, creative director of 55DSL comments, “When the opportunity to work with EA, and in particular Need for Speed Carbon, came along, it seemed like a natural progression for us. I’m a gamer and I’m going to play this game for sure so to see characters wearing our exclusively designed t-shirts and other items, is really amazing for me.”
“This partnership adds another layer of authenticity to our role in street culture”, says Larry LaPierre, executive producer on Need for Speed Carbon. “Having 55DSL integrated so tightly within Need for Speed Carbon adds an increased sense of realism to the game and gives fans the opportunity to wear exclusively designed items that brings them closer to the action.”
Need for Speed Carbon is currently scheduled to ship in November for essentially every game system to known the human species.
