THQ’s Ports of Wii-Controlled Games

THQ addresses their launch Wii games and each of their unique Wii controls.

With a healthy amount of third-party Wii software being games already available for other systems, it has been a hot topic in many gamer’s minds just how these titles will integrate Wii’s unique control interface. THQ, as reported by, has attempted to address these concerns by listing off some of their ports’ new, Wii-friendly features.

Some games, such as Spongebob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab and Barnyard will use Wii-mote features in mini games: gamers can now control Spongebob’s aircraft and car while orienting the Wii-mote as if it were and steering wheel, and play pool and golf with it in Barnyard.

Other games, such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Disney’s Pixar Cars will offer more in depth experiences as player’s control melee attacks in Avatar and automobiles in Cars entirely with the Wii-mote.
