To get all the news that you can possibly handle for Call of Duty 3, then you can download it at Activision’s website.
Activision has unveiled its Call of Duty 3 ‘Desktop Communicator’, promising all the latest steaming nuggets of news and information for the forthcoming game, straight to your PC.
By downloading the RSS desktop wotsit, you’ll be the no-doubt-massively-grateful recipient of all manner of Call of Duty 3 goodness before, it says here in great big letters, ANYONE ELSE. That’s including magazine editors too, apparently. Cuh, those pesky magazine editors hogging all the news, eh?
Anyway, included in the promised avalanche of information, you’ll recieve all the latest screens and trailers, details on weapons, character classes and missions, as well as tips and hints for playing Call of Duty 3 online.
That’s not all though! You’ll also get the exclusive Call of Duty 3 ‘Postcards from the Front’, previously only avaiable to – guess who – yup, those magazine editors again! Finally, you’ll also be graced with a bunch o’ links to breaking articles from all manner of fine online videogames news outlets. IGN came first in the list too, so hoorah.
Finally, anyone downloading the Call of Duty 3 Desktop Communicator can win the chance to be the first person in the UK to play the game. Presumably not including the developers, representatives of Activision, journalists and, let’s not forget ‘em, those magazine editors. Still, it’s the thought that counts, eh?
You can download the Call of Duty 3 Desktop Communicator over at Activision’s website. The game’s coming out for Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, PlayStation 2 and the Commodore 64 later this year.
Okay, so we’re lying about that last one.
