Rock Band 2: The Opening Act

Rock Band is ready for a comeback tour. Today, Harmonix announced Rock Band 2 is set to ship for Xbox 360 this September and PS3 later in the year (No word on the Wii release). However, the official announcement of Rock Band 2 is sparse on details, so IGN went straight to Harmonix to learn more. They spoke with Lead Designer Dan Teasdale to get the full scoop on the mega-sequel. Teasdale gave them his thoughts on user-created content, improving accessibility, upgrading last year’s model and more.

Do you feel cheated as a Wii owner about this news?

I kind of do feel cheated, but at the same time, i almost think that this is them just trying to beat World Tour to the punch on the other two systems.

But, at the same time, it may have taken them so long to get a Wii version out because they were working on the sequel, but Harmonix obviously has very little interest in the Wii owner, therefore, I have very little interest in them.

    World Tour all the way.

Even if i havent read this news i would still think that Harmonix sucks and have no respect for Wii Owners!
    GH4 World Tour BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

They should have not released RB1 and just waited a few months to get Wii owners on pace with everyone else.

Weird they didn’t even mention the Wii in their interview. They should have at least asked about it. I don’t really care, though, because I think Guitar Hero is more my thing (and GHWT sounds really good!).
