NGamer confirms that Animal Crossing Wii, Punch-Out!! Wii, and Disaster will be at E3!

by Hassan AhmedJuly 11, 2008

Thank you NGamer! Their latest issue has confirmed some great news regarding Nintendo’s E3 conference. NGamer mentioned that they will have hands-on coverage of Animal Crossing Wii and Punch-Out!! Wii in their next issue, and says that they are “Nintendo’s greatest hopes for 2008”. Wait… 2008?! Looks like they may be releasing this year! The issue also has some details on the two titles. NGamer says that Animal Crossing Wii has been finished for a while and isn’t an MMO. They also say that the title will have heavy use of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Regarding Punch-Out!! Wii, they say you use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for boxing and there is support for the Wii Balance Board for dodging and weaving.

But that’s not all in their E3 feature. They also mention that new info on  Disaster: Day of Crisis will be revealed at E3 and they’re pretty sure that it will be playable. Only four days until Nintendo’s conference and I’m super pumped for it. I have a feeling that Nintendo has a lot more in store for us at E3 than just these titles too, so I can’t wait.

    WHAT~! POWii would be amazing!
NGamer better not be bluffing or else I’ll give them a POW of my own.

By the way, the guys over at Shamoozal[dot]com are doing a 24-hr NES marathon for charity, and they’re playing Punch Out! at the moment.

I say screw both Animal Crossing and Punch Out for the Wii. Animal Crossing has been the biggest disappointment for Nintendo and I could care less for Punch Out Wii(..the NES version will always be better). If this would have been their final lineup for this year, this would be Nintendo’s worst. But I have a feeling that they still have yet to reveal of their first-party lineup at E3 this Tuesday. I want my Starfox Wii over these two. I’m still crossing my fingers for it and Starfox could be the secret game that they were talking about. Besides, Miyamoto has been talking about it and working on it since 2006. So they got to have at least something on it done so they could show it to the public. It is also considered to be a series for core gamers as mentioned from articles since they promised to reveal at E3 first-party titles that core gamers will be interested in along with them saying that they even said that they were going to maximize their key franchises of their first-party titles this year and they better keep their promise. Because if they don’t, there’s going to be a lot of core gamers who are going to feel very sore about this. In one article recently that was talking about Animal Crossing being confirmed to E3, there are 2 action titles to be announced at the expo also. Knowing that, Starfox is an action title that could be announced. So c’mon Starfox Wii.
