PS3 Motion Controller functions possible with Wii Motion Plus

According to a homebrew creator “puppetrepublic” (as he is known on YouTube), it is possible to pull off Sony’s motion controller functions with the Wii Motion Plus.  Check out his video below:

According to puppetrepublic’s notes:

Inspired by the PS3 motion controller coming out next spring I decided to have my own go at making a 6DOF motion controller for windows.

Using a small bicycle light, a colored plastic ball from a bath thermometer, a Wiimote with Motion Plus and a PS3 Eye camera; A couple of days programming, et VOILÀ! Le “WiiM++”!

Thanks to Wiibrew, WiiYourself!, Alex Popovich, and of course Nintendo & Sony for their kindness and consideration to bring cheap technology to everyday people.

Sony is just copying nintendo right off, as they’ve always done, except for the gfx.

Microsoft’s Natal is one step into the right direction in the motion-war

Minded, you’re a fucking idiot, Sony made this back in 2000-2004 with the eyetoy, if anything, Nintendo is copying Sony, they originally planned for a stationary camera tracking system, like the Wand, or Natal. You dumbassed fanboy/girl.

Rk…. For one $ony has stolen plenty from Nintnedo. 2)Nintendo has been working on the Wiimote ever since the Gamecube. But i’m sure you’re a smart fanboy/fangirl and know that.
