Un-boxing Metroid Prime Trilogy

by Bradley DeLorenzoAugust 7, 2009

IGN just returned from Austin, Texas, where we came away from Retro Studios with one of the first retail copies (in the world) of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Even development heads at the company, none of whom had yet received their own retail versions of the epic compilation, marveled at our good fortune.

Metroid Prime Trilogy includes three celebrated titles starring famed bounty hunter heroine extraordinaire Samus Aran: the original Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. For Retro Studios, the games, now featured on a single dual-layered disc, are the collective result of 10 hard and rewarding years. For players, especially those who have never experienced the Prime titles before, Trilogy is 80-plus hours of the most engaging and immersive interactive entertainment that money can buy.

Does anyone know if this trilogy pack will read the saved game files from the Metroid Prime 3 solo game for Wii?

I suffered a decent loss when someone broke into my apartment a while back and took a large amount of my game collection… among it was my Metroid Prime 3 game, which I’d like to replace with this trilogy, but not if it means I can’t pick up where I left off using the same saved game files.

    Does this question make sense?

However, MP3:C copies should be easy to pick up on the extreme cheap after the Tril comes out.
