Wii Shop Channel and DSi Shop down for maintenance [UPDATE: It’s back up]

by Hassan AhmedOctober 20, 2009

UPDATE: They are both back up, and there is a Wii Firmware Update. Details here.

Anyone trying to download any games on their Wii or DSi will notice that the Wii Shop Channel and the DSi Shop are both down for maintenance. Now, normally I would pass this off as nothing… but there is a small chance that it could be something. I mean, it’s not just the Wii Shop Channel that’s down, it’s that and the DSi Shop. Denise Kaigler recently teased a surprise for Wii owners connected to the internet. Or maybe it’s for the Doc Lewis’ Punch-Out game for Club Nintendo Platinum members. It’s probably nothing, but I figured I’d report it anyways just to see what happens. It’s too bad cause I was going to download some DSiWare, guess I’ll just have to wait.
