In an effort to improve the publishers impact on the Earth, Ubisoft has made the decision to no longer pack paper manuals in with their games. They have instead opted to move to digital manuals which will be accessible through the game’s menu. By making this move, Ubisoft will be saving approximately 180 tons of paper each year. Not only does this help us out in the long run, it gives developers the option to create fun and interactive manuals, possibly giving us an incentive NOT to skip over the manual! Combined with using “Enviroshell” technology to create cases that use about a third less plastic than traditional cases, Ubisoft is definitely moving in the right direction.
