Wii does Hard Core Games

by Steve CullumJune 5, 2010

Are there any “hard core” games for Wii?  I do not know how many times I have been asked that question.  I am sure you have faced it as well.  As a big Nintendo fan(boy?), it upsets me that people think my system of choice is only for “little kids games.”  Maybe Nintendo has gotten tired of this opinion as well.  Nintendo’s UK website has put together a nice video showing off some of their most “hard core” titles.  Check it out below.  However, be warned that this might put you over the edge on buying a new black Wii, as it looks pretty nice in this video.  Not only that, but Nintendo reminds us once again to get our Wii connected online.

Games shown:
ANNO: Create a New World, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, Guitar Hero 5, Little King’s Story, Metroid: Other M, Monster Hunter 3 (~Tri), Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Sin, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, Punishment: Successor of the Skies, Red Steel 2, Rune Factory: Frontier, Samurai Warriors 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars.

So, in your opinion, a “hard core” game is ONLY based on looks/graphics? Interesting… Because many of the big industry opinion consider most of these “hard core.”
