I’ve tried to be as good as I can this year. I have tried to keep peace in the forums, and I have tried to acknowledge others when I blogged. I was even sure to thank all the publishers for sending me review copies of their games. I have tried to be a good boy, and I think I deserve more than coal. In fact, I have made a list of some things I would love. In fact, if you could please bring these gifts to our readers as well! There have been some really good games for Wii this year, and we would like the best ones.
SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2 — How can you improve on one of the best Mario games? Include Yoshi, make even more planets, and clean up the whole process. In my opinion, Santa, this is one of the best platformers ever.
NBA JAM — You know how much I loved the SNES version when you put that under my tree long ago. I know I will love the new version just as much, especially with the new players and modes.
MONSTER HUNTER 3 — While it may not have a broad appeal, Monster Hunter is a huge game, and the third installment makes a great appearance for Wii. It’s even better when you go online in a hunting party, Santa.
METROID: OTHER M — I know this game received mix reviews, but this is the first Metroid game that I have been really excited about. The reason is because it is a great combination of the old and the new.
TATSUNOKO VS. CAPCOM — My heart lies with Marvel vs. Capcom, but this is the closest thing we get on Wii. And, Santa, we can even play each other online, as long as you have wi-fi in the North Pole.
DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS — Not only did I play NBA JAM a lot on my SNES, I probably put at least 50 hours in on Donkey Kong Country. Now, it’s back for Wii too! If you want to stick around, Santa, we can even play co-op.
EPIC MICKEY — Next to you, Santa, Mickey might be the most recognizable character around the world. In this newest puzzle platformer, he’s back in an epic story that plays like a choose-your-own-adventure book…and you know how much I love those books!
GOLDENEYE 007 — I know you don’t like anyone to kill, Santa, but this is only make-believe. You know how much fun I had with the N64 version, and now I can go online. If you don’t like shooting me shooting real guns, I can always switch to paintball mode.
AND YET IT MOVES — I bet when you fly all over and go down people’s chimneys, it probably feels like you can control the world around you? Well, that is kind of like what it feels like to control the world of AYIM for WiiWare. So, in a small way, Santa, I can be like you.
BIT.TRIP RUNNER — You know, Santa. I would also love it if you gifted me Bit.Trip Runner for WiiWare. It combines rhythm and classic platforming for a highly addictive game. Speaking of addictions, I have some cookies for you.
I know that whatever you get me (and our readers), Santa, we will be happy. But if you could, and we hope you can, please bring me these great games for my Wii.
