Luigi’s Mansion 2 (3DS) – Hands-On First Impressions

by Steve CullumJune 8, 2011

Many have been speculating about a follow-up to the original Luigi’s Mansion for Nintendo GameCube. Even though, it was still a surprise to hear the Luigi’s Mansion 2 will hit the Nintendo 3DS. I got some hands-on time with the game after Nintendo’s E3 press event, just outside the Nokia Theater on June 7, 2011, and I must say that it both felt and looked great in 3D. In fact, it has probably been one of the best looking 3DS games I have seen. It took a bit to remember and learn the controls, including the lack of a jump button, but with some time, I was catching ghosts like a pro. I am excited there will be multiple mansions this time around, but I am worried it might get a bit repetitive if all you do is walk into room after room and find/catch the ghosts.
