I think it was helpful! I dunno how many people purchased one, not many of my friends. But there are people Out there i believe. I just want more streetpassing

No kidding.  I took my 3DS everywhere I went and since the day I got my 3DS, I have only StreetPassed with 2 people.  One at Walmart and the other at a shopping mall.  I understand it’s not as big here in the States as say Japan, but it could be a lot more interesting if the Street Pass increased.  Also, how about a chat application, that would be great.

I’ve Street Passed the most (other than E3) at the mall.

Try joining a Street Pass Community.

I’ve gotten over 200… before I had to send in my 3DS to get fixed and my Streetpass data was erased. D: …. and now I don’t join in on Community meets these days due to my weekend classes, so now I’m less than 10.

Streetpass Communities also have great DS and 3DS tournaments~ Plus, not only do you meet people from other countries who are visiting Community areas (got three people from Japan, a few from Canada), but you also get to know where everyone hangs out – so you can run into a Streetpass outside of a Meet.

While the price drop probably helped spur new sales, and I’m interested…I’m just not sold on the 3DS right now, as it seems Nintendo has no idea what they’re doing network wise.

If I get a new handheld system, a nice functioning online browser would be great, apps would be great, and a way to actually communicate with friends that own the system and game online would be great…and it seems the 3DS is really lacking in all those areas.
Also, considering the “rumors” of a new design are now making the rounds, I’m going to play the patience game, and just wait a while.
