It is not September 1 yet, but it seems Nintendo has already placed those ten NES games in the Nintendo 3DS eShop for Ambassadors to download. In order to download your 10 free games, just follow the simple instructions below.

  1. Open the eShop.
  2. Scroll to the left and click “Settings / Other.”
  3. Scroll down and click “Your Downloads.”
  4. Scroll down and find the game you want.
  5. Click “Redownload.”
  6. Confirm by clicking “Download.”

That is it. Unfortunately, you must start the process over again with each title (except opening the eShop each time). Soon, though, you will have 10 free NES titles to play around with on your Nintendo 3DS.

You can also download your Ambassador Certificate there, which contains a video on ways to be told about future Ambassador information, including the 10 free GBA games coming later this year. (Essentially, it says to make sure your SpotPass notifications are set to receive.)

In the meantime, be sure to vote on our newest poll, where you can tell us what NES title you are most excited about having in the 3DS Ambassador Program.

Currently available for download:

  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Donkey Kong Jr
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber
  • The Legend Of Zelda
  • Wrecking Crew
  • NES Open Tournament Golf
  • Yoshi
  • Metroid
  • Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link
