New Webcomic comes to NintendoFuse – The Other Side of the Flagpole!

by Jeremy HardinJanuary 4, 2012

Recently, 3DS owners were treated to another FREE application.  Of course, I’m talking about Swapnote!  With the recent release of Swapnote, users have been drawing all kinds of great notes, funny, serious, odd whatever.  Some have even chosen to use it as a free means of advertising.  Case in point, I have on my friends list a user by the name of Alex.  He has frequented our forums in the past and Alex draws his own webcomic, The Other Side of the Flagpole.  He reached out to me via a very nice Swapnote message, as you can see below.  If you like The Other Side of the Flagpole, be sure to LIKE their Facebook page.

Well, we decided to take Alex up on his offer and we will begin hosting his webcomic starting today!  So, without further ado may I present “The Other Side of the Flagpole!”

About The Author
Jeremy Hardin
Jeremy's love of gaming, especially Nintendo started in the late 80's when his parents bought him and his older brother an NES. Many hours were spent playing Mario and Duck Hunt. Eventually Jeremy graduated to bigger and better games and systems, like the SNES, GC, Wii, 3DS, and finally to the Wii U. Ask him what the defining moment of his childhood gaming was and he'll answer, "the day I beat Zelda 2." To this day that game holds a special place in his heart. His favorite types of games are platformers. Jeremy started blogging for NintendoFuse in October 2010. He started off as a lurker on the forums who won a free copy of And Yet It Moves on WiiWare. From there he realized he liked the forums and the site and wanted to remain a part of it. He was brought on board shortly thereafter and has helped post news and reviews for the past couple of years. Currently Jeremy has taken a step back to focus on family and school. He assists in minor back-end site maintenance from time to time.

Cool. I was trying to get a friend to do a comic series too. This is sweet!

I had an idea for notes, more of a guessing game for interaction.  Hopefully will get going on this.

Artist’s note: What a great way to start the new year! I can’t believe it’s only been two years since I started drawing “The Other Side of the Flagpole”. Every week that passes by, the library of comics grows and grows… I can’t wait to share them with the NintendoFuse community! Enjoy, feel free to let me know what you think, and share it with your friends! 😀
