In the summer of 2010, rumors of Seaman coming to the 3DS were teased by the creator of the Dreamcast original. Yoot Saito teased about the title during a conversation with a fan over the internet, now news comes from the Japanese news outlet Nikkei inc., that Seaman is one of many rival-published games coming to the 3DS.
Via source Andriasang, it is reported that Nintendo wants to bring new strong titles to the 3DS and Seaman being one of them. The original Seaman was released on the Dreamcast in 1999, it was very popular in Japan and was one of the Dreamcast’s best selling games. Seaman was mentioned as part of a general report about Nintendo’s earnings and future prospects (report also included a look at the new construction grounds for a new Nintendo development studio).
The new building is scheduled to open in December 2013 and is taking the place of the former golf practice grounds. No specifics are out yet regarding Seaman but be sure to tune in at E3 for any news on the long rumored, and maybe overdue arrival of Seaman.
