Nintendo Download – March 22, 2012

by Steve CullumMarch 22, 2012

Well, here it is another week and another Nintendo Download. Will today’s new downloadable games suit your gaming need? It just might, but with just three games, you do not have much to choose from.

The sole exclusive game for 3DS eShop is the rhythm action side-scroller Zombie Slayer Diox. Similarly, there is only one title for DSiWare in 1st Class Poker & Black Jack. Likewise, WiiWare grows by one with Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Island of Diamonds.

Nintendo is also pushing its “spokesdog,” Uggie with a video on the eShop, demo of nintendogs + cats, and a special Swapnote from Uggie. The only other update this week comes in the form of an announcement of a Wale music video called “Sabotage” hitting the 3DS Nintendo Video app.

Will next week’s offerings be larger or contain more quality titles? We shall see. Until then, be sure to check out the price list and official press release below, and let us know if you download a game/app and what you think.

3DS eShop (3DS)

    • Zombie Slayer Diox ($5.99) – Zombie Slayer Diox is a rhythm-action game with a side-scrolling twist. Don the jeans and leather boots of a samurai guitarist living in a future time when zombies have taken over most of the world.

DSiWare (DSi & 3DS)

    • 1st Class Poker & Black Jack ($4.99 / 500 Points) – This collection offers many varieties of poker, blackjack and video poker, including Texas Hold’em, Double Flop Hold’em, Omaha and Pineapple. Play solo or try the local multiplayer mode.

WiiWare (Wii)

    • Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Island of Diamonds (600 Points) – Five priceless diamonds are missing! The Chief wants ACME’s best agent on this case, and that means you, detective. Carmen Sandiego is back and only you can foil her V.I.L.E plans. Travel the globe, solve brain-twisting math puzzles, and finally confront the world’s greatest thief.
