Nintendo Download – January 31, 2013

by Steve CullumJanuary 31, 2013

While Nintendo may not be releasing new retail games for Wii U, they are still pushing digital, along with a number of new titles for Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo DSi and Wii even get one new game each this week.

For those of you waiting patiently for Fire Emblem Awakening, you do not have to wait much more. It will hit the Nintendo 3DS eShop on February 4.

What is releasing today? I’m glad you asked. Puddle will launch on the Wii U eShop, which looks much like Nintendo’s own Fluidity. If you are still unsure about The Cave, you can get a free demo starting today on the Wii U eShop. Also, from the creator of Cave Story, we get Ikachan launching on the 3DS eShop. Other new 3DS 3Shop games include Witch’s Cat, Bloody Vampire, and a Virtual Console version of the NES Ice Climber. DSiWare gains one new title with 99Moves, and the Wii gets one more Virtual Console game with METAL SLUG 4.

For you Sparkle Snapshots 3D fans, you can also download two decoration sets. Both the “Mario Core Set” and the “Mario Kart 7 Set” are available as paid DLC via the Sparkle SnapShop, the in-game boutique.

We have posted the full list of all the releases and prices below, along with the official press release, straight from Nintendo of America. Be sure to let us know what game(s) or apps get you excited to play. Let us know in the comments below or in our forums!
