First Impressions: Deus Ex Human Revolution Director’s Cut (E3 2013)

This year at E3, I got a chance to check out Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut for Wii U. Having not played a previous Deus Ex game, since they have never been on Nintendo consoles, this was a brand new adventure for me. We were only allowed to play one level, so my time was extremely limited. Overall, I will say that both Greg and I were frustrated with the game. Not only was it rather difficult, it was extremely hard to know what to do. After struggling to take out all of our enemies, we did not know what to do next. Maybe this is just an error of the demo build, or maybe it was just our ignorance. Either way, we were a bit lost. Anyhow, the controls were pretty spot-on, doing exactly what I wanted them to do. It was easy to aim, and there was no lag in movement. I still need to spend more time with it in order to give a recommendation or not, but it is looking good, but difficult.

Currently, there is no release date for Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut. However, the news did just break that it will no longer be a Wii U exclusive, as previously thought.
