A few months after Mutant Mudds was released on the 3DS eShop, those who purchased the game were delighted to receive a free update that included 20 new levels that added more challenge and length to the game. Jools Watsham, one of the founders of game company Renegade Kid has announced that more free, additional content will be coming to the 3DS game in the first quarter of 2014, namely the content from the Wii U eShop’s “Mutant Mudds Deluxe” version of the game. That’s 20 more levels, making for 80 in total!

If you ever needed incentive to buy the retro-styled platformer, this is definitely it. Featuring challenging levels, an awesome chiptune soundtrack and gorgeous pixel art 3D effects, Mutant Mudds is an easy sell for anyone who loves classic Nintendo games.

About the author:

When Alex was young, he used to cry whenever his parents tried to hand him a game controller. Having complete control over the life of a red-clad Italian plumber was just too daunting to him. Nowadays, he only cries when the controller’s taken away.

Hailing from the frigid tundras of Canada, Alex plays video games not only to entertain himself, but also as a source of warmth to get him through the winter. He loves all genres of video games, the more difficult the better. Some of his current favourites include VVVVVV, Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends.
