Link Wasn’t In Zelda Wii U Trailer?

UPDATE (June 12, 2014): In an interview with MMGM, Aonuma stated, “Actually that comment I made jokingly. It’s not that I said that it wasn’t Link. It’s that I never said that it was Link. It’s not really the same thing, but I can understand how it could be taken that way.” He went on to explain that, even though some speculated about a female protagonist, Link will remain a male character.

Remember that teaser trailer (during Nintendo’s Digital Event) for The Legend of Zelda earlier? You know… the one coming out on Wii U in 2015? The one you got you really excited? According to the game’s producer, Eiji Aonuma, we might have been led astray. In a quick interview with Mike Minotti from VentureBeat, Aonuma said, “No one explicitly said that that was Link.” Wait… What!? That may not have been Link? Well, that definitely makes us wonder who it was.

Some people are saying it looked like a girl. But I agree with you Josh, looked like Link to me as well.

Yeah, I don’t really see this “feminine” look that people are talking about, especially when I slow down the video and look closely.
