Hey, it’s Thursday mornings, and you know what that means. Another Thursday means another Nintendo Download. Are you ready to be a bit surprised? Because we were surprised as we put this together.

Let’s first talk Wii U. And let’s hit the big surprise early. Disney Infinity will be available today as a free download on the eShop. Yes, you read that correctly. While you still need to purchase a base and figures, you can get the game itself for free. For those of you who have always worried about losing the disc or for those who bought another version but then got a Wii U later, you can now pull all your characters right over into the Wii U version. On top of that, a single-player racer called Midtown Crazy Race is coming to Wii U. Also available for the Wii U Virtual Console today are  Mega Man 6 and Life Force. And just for good measure, there are some discounts on AbyssChasing Aurora, and Nano Assault Neo.

Handing it off to the handheld, let’s look at the 3DS releases and discounts. First up is Xtreme Sports, which lets you compete as Guppi and Fin in a battle for first place against the Bonehead Gang in this sports and RPG mashup. Also available for 3DS is BLAZBLUE – CLONEPHANTASMA, which features so-called “cute versions” of the characters in an action-adventure. Rounding out the new releases on 3DS is Demon King Boxan M-rated RPG. There are several discounts for the 3DS eShop, too, which include Boulder Dash-XL 3DEuropean Conqueror 3DAeternobladeNano Assault EXQuell Reflect, and Aqua Moto Racing.

Nintendo adds new games weekly to the Nintendo eShop on the Wii U console and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, the Nintendo DSi™ Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and the Wii™ Shop Channel for the Wii console.
The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service that features a wide variety of content, including new and classic games, applications and demos. The Wii Shop Channel offers games and applications and uses Wii Points™, which can be purchased via the Wii Shop Channel. A Wii Points Card™ and Nintendo DSi Points Card™ can be purchased at retail locations. All points from one card must be redeemed in either the Wii Shop Channel or the Nintendo DSi Shop, respectively. They are not transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems.
Remember that Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo DSi feature parental controls that let adults manage some of the content their children can access.
