Home Menu Themes Coming to Nintendo 3DS

Customization is important to many people. Up until now, Nintendo’s consoles have not been much on making it your own. This morning, in a Japanese Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced they want to change that. Starting in October, Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to customize their home screens. There will be a theme shop, which should be familiar to those of you with other consoles, like a Playstation 3 or 4. This shop will be populated with various home screen themes for download.

As of now, Nintendo of America has not stated anything about it coming to North America, but we are hoping they will soon.

UPDATE: Nintendo of America has confirmed the themes are coming to North America in October 2014.
