It seems like ages, but it was only around twenty years ago that the original Gameboy was released. At an MSRP of $89.99 with Tetris, we have come a very long way. My first Nintendo handheld was the Gameboy Color. I remember going to a local store and picking out that teal beast of a machine and LOVING it to death. For those of you who are unaware of what “People’s Court” is, it’s a reality show about the small claims court in the United States. In this video, two guys go to court regarding a Wii that is being withheld until payment for installing a modchip into the system is received. What makes this a treat to watch is all of the incorrect information being thrown around. Even more so, piracy was never brought up as an issue. If you have 14 minutes to spare, you won’t regret it.
According to Nintendo of America, Pokemon lovers throughout the U.S.A. have purchased over two million copies of the Black and White versions in only two weeks. I’m curious as to whether or not this momentum will continue on and hit ten million in sales within the next few months.
