WiiNintendo game impressions by hattrick. Game – Military Madness: Nectaris (WiiWare) I spent some time with HudsonSoft Games, playing Military Madness: Nectaris at PAX East on March 27, 2010. Here are my impressions on this upcoming WiiWare title. While I am not a huge fan of the turn-based strategy games, I decided to have a try at the upcoming Military […]
A few people have gotten their hands on Red Steel 2 and the impressions are out: “Just finished it today, spent a lot of time looking for secret stuff and yeah I enjoyed it a lot. Like NMH2 it got repetitive at times but not as much as that game. Worth buying for sure though, definitely a game I’ll play […]
Posted below is my first 15 minutes or so of Monster Hunter Tri (3) demo, from live stream recorded on March 5, 2010. Also FYI, it is the streaming quality that was jumpy, not the game itself. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Overall, it seems just OK. I’d rather have a hunting team, and I think that would make it better. Also, I […]
NintendoLife – With a range of levels available we were able to try out almost all of the new additions, the most prominent being the inclusion of Yoshi. The little green dinosaur can chew on blueberries and red peppers laid around the courses, which both grant him special powers: eating a blueberry fills him with air sending him floating upwards, […]
After getting some hands-on time with the completed upcoming air combat game, James gives his initial impressions. Tilting the Nunchuck works just like the control stick in an aircraft, controlling the direction of the nose of the plane. The Wii Remote lets you control the speed of your aircraft by tilting it up and back. At first it feels uncomfortable, […]
Overall the game is decent; it’s Rainbow Islands in general look and feel. What is missing is a lot of the charm of the original and the themes of the different worlds. I’ve only been to the first two levels, so maybe there’s new stuff further on, but I couldn’t see much different in the enemies of the first two […]
From my experience with the game, I believe this review is pretty spot-on. What do you think? Discuss this game in our forums. Also, be sure to check out my first impressions of this game.
I rented Deadly Creatures tonight. So far, I completed the first chapter, and almost finished the second chapter. Overall, the story is that some “deadly creatures” took over some place. You see and hear the men trying to figure out what is going on. You start off as a spider (a tarantula I believe) in the first chapter, and then […]
This was my first ever Tomb Raider game. I kept hearing great things about it, so I decided to rent the game when I saw it in the movie store. This game starts off with a story of how Lara’s mother was lost, thought she was dead, and now is possibly alive. The controls are very easy to get use […]
I just finished my first 9 holes of “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 All-Play.”  To start with, I hope EA drops the “All-Play” part of the name, because that’s just too long to type/say.  Speaking of which, I did not try the All-Play, but jumped right in to the front 9 of Pebble Beach.  Here’s my first impressions. Look – […]
So, I’ve been going back and forth these last couple weeks on whether I should purchase Wii Fit.  Well, today I finally broke down and bought it.  After checking several places, I went to my local Toys-R-Us, where I saw 2 copies.  I quickly grabbed one and headed to the check-out line.  They offered me a 15 month protection plan, […]
Well, I waited on line at Nintendo World in New York City for half an hour to buy Wii Fit, then I had to walk from around 50th street down to 33rd with that heavy box to catch my train home, but I finally got me a copy of the game, and I played over an hour’s worth.
11/05, Australia: On Friday I returned home to an early birthday gift from my sister after being out of town for four weeks. I eagerly opened it and jumped for joy at the site of Wii Fit. I put the batteries into the board, inserted the disc and began the game. After going through my body tests, I got into […]
Our friend, RawMeatCowboy, over at GoNintendo has got his hands on a bunch of upcoming titles, have a look/read. Below his impressions are a few videos of the games and IGN’s wrap up of the event where all these games were on display, Nintendo’s Spring Summit 2008. Impressions: – WiiWare ‘Game of Summit’ – LostWinds – Pop – Strong Bad’s […]
