Minecraft Coming to Wii U?

People have been saying for a couple years that Minecraft would be great on the Wii U, especially with the GamePad’s touch screen. If a recent post by PEGI, the European video game rating company, is to be believed, those people will soon get their wish!


The site states the game has a PEGI 7 rating (anyone seven years old and up) will release on November 12, 2015, on the Wii U. Coincidentally, there is also that Nintendo Direct on November 12. 

What do you think of this supposed game announcement? Is it a good move for Microsoft to port over Minecraft to Wii U? And if they do, will you purchase it?

Miiverse Update Improves Screenshots

Our favorite Miiverse host, Tom, just informed us of an update to Nintendo’s gaming social network on Wii U, 3DS, and the web. The update involves the use of screenshots. I’ll go ahead and let Tom tell you the details:

You can now attach a screenshot in your Screenshot Album to the Discussions section and to the comments! Until now you were able to attach screenshots in your Screenshot Album to the Play Journal and Drawings sections, and now you can attach them to posts and comments in all three sections. Nintendo’s Initial Mobile Game List to be Freemium

The CEO of DeNA, Isao Moryiasu, in an earnings call on November 11, 2015, revealed a bit more about their partnership with Nintendo. The Wall Street Journal quoted Moriyasu as saying, “Games currently in the pipeline are all free to play.”

A few years ago, Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s former president, stated they were going to explore more pricing structures. Since then, we have seen Nintendo experiment with free-to-play games on their Nintendo 3DS handheld console. The recent Pokemon Shuffle for 3DS and mobile is just one of those freemium-priced games.

Nintendo Badge Arcade Now Live in North America

In a surprise move, Nintendo just announced on Twitter that Nintendo Badge Arcade is now live on the North American Nintendo 3DS eShop.
