Nintendo 3DS Launches in North America

The Nintendo 3DS is officially here in North America. While many headed to midnight launch events across the country, Nintendo of America partnered with Best Buy at Union Square for the official launch party in New York City. Below are several photos from that launch party, including the now famous “Triforce,” who camped outside Best Buy all week long. Nintendo 3DS Midnight Launch Event at NYC Best Buy

Are you in the New York City area and planning on getting a Nintendo 3DS on launch day, March 27? If so, you might want to head over to the Best Buy store on Union Square for the official Nintendo 3DS midnight launch event. Nintendo of America posted the event details on their Twitter account.

Nintendo World In-Store Tournaments

Nintendo World, located at Rockefeller Center in New York City, is hosting a “Blast to the Past” tournament series featuring “different Virtual Console and WiiWare games each week,” according to an email newsletter the company recently emailed out.

The tournaments are taking place every Saturday through the end of February from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Winners will be given prizes. Space is limited. Register at Nintendo World.
