Why is the Wii U not selling well? In my opinion, it all comes back to a few things – poor marketing, bad name, pitiful third-party support, and bad press. Today, I would like to add one more to the list – store displays.
Mario Kart 8 launched around the world just a few days ago (May 29 in Japan and May 30 in Europe and North America), and it has already sold 1.2 millions units, making it the fastest selling Wii U game so far…
The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS sales numbers are increasing, thanks to software like Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Bravely Default.
Nintendo 3DS has passed 11.5 million units sold in the United States, but software is also flying off the shelves. Over 16 million packaged and digital games were sold in 2013 alone!
It looks like Nintendo hardware sales are on the rise. Perhaps, they are not as high as they want them, but things have been getting better. More info is available below in the press release.
Nintendo 3DS continued to build momentum in 2013 and finished as the best-selling video game system in the U.S. for the third consecutive month.
